The Election Commission has issued several health safety directives for the upcoming by-elections of two parliamentary constituencies — Dhaka 18 and Sirajganj 1 — that are scheduled to be held on November 12.
Owing to the Covid-19 pandemic, everything related to the elections has to be done in compliance with the health safety guidelines, said the Election Commission.
According to the directives issued by the commission, the election campaigns have to be run following the election laws while wearing masks and maintaining social distancing.
A voter must wear a mask before going into the voting center and maintain a distance of three feet with other voters. Only one voter is allowed to enter the voting room at a time; hand sanitizers will be provided to the voter before he enters the room.
