A total of 20% people out of all the infliction suspects who underwent testing were reported as positive with Covid-19 in Bangladesh on Friday.
The health authorities between Thursday and Friday mornings tested 14,088 samples across the country, of which 2,828 — or 20.07% — came out positive.

Just a month ago, on May 5, the percentage of a positive result was only 13.76% when 5,711 samples were tested and 786 people were found positive for Covid-19 in 24 hours.
Till May 24, the rate of testing positive in Bangladesh was below 20%.
The daily percentage of people testing positive for Covid-19 reached an all-time high, with nearly 23% of the total number of samples tested in a day on Tuesday.
It came down to 21.54% on Wednesday, and 19.09% on Thursday before spiking up to 20.07% on Friday

Until Friday noon, the country recorded over 60,000 Covid-19 cases and over 800 deaths from the deadly disease.
With Friday's development, Bangladesh got placed in the list of the top 20 countries with the highest number of positive Covid-19 cases worldwide.
