Three more people have tested positive for coronavirus in Bangladesh, taking the total number of confirmed cases to 27.
Dr Meerjady Sabrina Flora, the director of Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR), disclosed the latest figure at a press conference.
Among the infected, one is woman and two are men, she said.
Two of the infected have returned to Bangladesh from abroad while another came into contact with an infected individual, she said.
At the press conference, there was no announcement of fresh death from Covid-19, a new strain of coronavirus.
Bangladesh has so far recorded two deaths from coronavirus infection, a pandemic announced by the World Health Organization (WHO).
The IEDCR director said two more infected people have recovered from the infection and they would be released on Sunday.
Earlier, three others were released after their recovery.
The fast spreading coronavirus has claimed more than 13,000 lives and infected over 300,000 people across the world, according to Worldometer.
