Special prayers will be held at all religious institutions and places of worship across Bangladesh on Friday in memory of the victims of the US-Bangla plane crash in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Mosques, temples, churches and pagodas will join in the remembrance, which was called by the government in an emergency meeting on Wednesday.
Friday’s observations follow a day of state mourning on Thursday, which was observed with due solemnity with the national flag lowered to half-mast across the country.

At least 50 people are known to have died after the US-Bangla plane carrying 71 people, including four crew members, crashed at Tribhuvan International Airport on Monday.
At least 26 Bangladeshi nationals were among the dead, while a number of injured survivors are undergoing treatment at hospitals in Kathmandu.
