Update : 26 Oct 2017, 01:34 PM
A cat has been rescued after four days from the cornice of Sonali Bank building at the Secretariat in the capital on Wednesday. Trapped on the fourth floor cornice of the building, the starving cat had made several desperate attempts to get down but failed. Seeing the cat's efforts, staff members at the Secretariat tried to rescue the cat but they too failed. Later, they called the fire service for help on Wednesday evening. An eight-member team of Secretariat fire service station arrived at the scene and with the help of staff members at the Secretariat, they rescued the cat unhurt around 5:30pm. The cat, however, ran away into the bushes behind the building after being rescued.
