A fire broke out on the second floor of Building No 6 at the Bangladesh Secretariat on Tuesday evening,
The fire broke out reportedly due to an electrical short circuit. The blaze was brought under control before a Fire Service unit arrived.
Fire Service duty officer Rozina Akter said they received the report at 6:42pm.
According to her, the fire originated in the ceiling above a bathroom on the building’s second floor. A unit was dispatched immediately but found the fire already under control upon arrival.
