Paturia-Daulatdia ferry service resumes after 5 hours

Mohammad Salauddin, manager (commercial) of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation at Paturia ghat office, confirmed it to the Dhaka Tribune. Daulatdia ghat manager Khorshed Alam said they compelled everyone to stop movement of three ferries from 3:30am till 8:45am due to poor visibility caused by dense fog. More that 400 vehicles were stranded on both sides of the ghat, creating suffering for the passengers. Sources said 14 ferries were deployed to carry vehicles through the river.
