Around 150,000 people around the country have registered to receive the Covid-19 vaccine so far, according to the health minister.
This number was the latest until Thursday morning, Zahid Maleque said at an event marking the World Cancer Day in Dhaka.
"The registration process saw slow progress at the beginning, but it gained momentum recently," he said.
People who are eligible and willing to be vaccinated in the first phase must enrol themselves into the vaccination program by completing registration by February 5.
The Directorate General of Health Services says that no one will be able to receive the vaccine for without registration.

Talking to reporters after Thursday's event, the health minister said his cabinet colleagues will be able to get the vaccine at authorized places in their own constituencies -- since the vaccine will be sent across the country.
"But they can also get the jabs, if they want, at the Sheikh Russel National Gastroliver Institute and Hospital [in Mohakhali, Dhaka]," he added.

On Monday, a DGHS official had said that 400,000 vaccine shots had so far been allocated for Dhaka district. These are from the two million doses Bangladesh received as a gift from the Indian government.
Except for Dhaka, Narayanganj and Gazipur, the government will send five million vaccine doses -- purchased from the Serum Institute of India -- to 61 districts by Sunday for the mass inoculation campaign.
Vaccine registration website www.surokkha.gov.bd is open to the public since Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on January 27 inaugurated the vaccination campaign.
Also, the Surokkha app, developed to help people register to receive the Covid-19 vaccine in Bangladesh, will be made available on Google Play by Thursday.
