Dhaka Metropolitan Detective (DB) Police arrested nine people with a large amount of equipment for making fake notes from a counterfeit note manufacturing factory in the capital.
They were arrested on Sunday night. Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Media and Public Relations Division Farooq Hossain confirmed this information on Monday morning.
He said that counterfeit notes worth crores of taka have been seized from the factory on Sunday night. At this time, nine people, including the master of the circle, artisans, dealers and retailers, were arrested along with a large amount of equipment for making fake notes seized.
Additional Police Commissioner Mohammad Harun-or-Rashid will give details about this in a press conference to be organized at DMP's media centre Monday afternoon.
