One more people died from injuries sustained during the protest rally called by the "Anti-Discrimination Student Movement" demanding quota reform in government jobs.
This occurred during a clash between Chhatra League men and protesters at the Science Lab intersection in the capital.
With this, two people have been killed in Dhaka. The identities of two individuals killed in Dhaka are not yet known.
The latest incident occurred around 7pm when an injured person was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.
Inspector Md Bachchu Mia, in charge of the DMCH hospital police outpost, confirmed the matter.
He said that the individual was found injured in front of City College, and pedestrians took him to Popular Hospital. From there, he was transported to DMCH by ambulance.
The doctors at the emergency department declared him dead after examination.
Bachchu Mia added that the individual had head injuries and was wearing jeans and a black T-shirt.
Earlier in the afternoon, another injured person was taken to DMCH from the same area in front of Dhaka College, where the doctor also declared him dead.
Both bodies have been kept in the DMCH morgue.
With this, a total of six deaths have been reported in Dhaka, Chattogram, and Rangpur on Tuesday amid the ongoing student movement demanding quota reform.
