Ziaur third in Delhi Open Chess after seventh round

Bangladesh Grandmaster Ziaur Rahman moved to third position in the 16th Delhi Open International Rating Chess Tournament in India despite losing his seventh round match against top-seeded GM Naiditsch Arkadij of Azerbaijan Saturday. Ziaur will play GM Rozum Ivan of Russia in the eighth round Sunday. Ziaur shared the spot along with 15 other players with 5.5 points after the end of the seventh round. Tahsin Tajwar Zia, son of Ziaur, earned three points and Mezanur Rahman garnered two points. Tashin beat Arnab Kumar Mullick of India while Mezan lost to Arpan Das of India.
