The National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) has said the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations in 2026 will be held following the full syllabus and that all subjects will be assessed with full marks and within the full duration.
The NCTB issued a directive in this regard on Monday to the chairman of the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee. The Dhaka Education Board published this directive from the NCTB on Wednesday.
According to the directive, classes for students admitted to Class XI in the 2024–2025 academic session began in the second week of August 2024.
These students will sit for the HSC and equivalent examinations scheduled for May–June 2026. The exams will be conducted on all subjects, in full duration and with full marks, based on the complete syllabus outlined by the NCTB.
The directive further states that all education boards and relevant institutions are specially requested to take necessary measures and ensure that they are duly informed.
