Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon said on Wednesday that decisions would be taken on the syllabuses for the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations, to keep students on schedule and avoid session jams.

He made the comments while speaking as the chief guest at the inauguration of the One Grid Solar Project at Dhaka Residential Model College in Dhaka.

The education minister said major changes were needed in the curriculum and that the education system had to be taken further forward.

He also said efforts were underway to make the examination system more orderly and smooth.

Addressing students, the minister said they would sit later in the day to discuss how the SSC and HSC syllabuses could be covered without wasting time.

He said the goal was to ensure that students could complete SSC after 10 years of schooling and HSC after 12 years without falling behind or facing session jam.

“Whatever needs to be done in your interest will be done,” he said.

The education minister also urged students to sit their examinations properly.
