SSC results: Pass rate decreases, GPA-5 increases in Mymensingh

Boys are ahead in pass rate while girls are ahead in getting GPA-5

The pass rate of SSC examination has declined this year compared to previous year while the number of examinees securing GPA-5 has increased.

The pass rate is 89.02% in the published results of the SSC examination under the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Mymensingh. Besides, 15,216 candidates got GPA-5 in the board.

The information was revealed from a result release notice signed by Md Shamsul Islam, Controller of Examinations, Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Mymensingh on Monday afternoon.

According to the board, out of 1,09,952 candidates who took part in this year's SSC examination under the board, 97,882 passed. According to the results, the pass rate in science department is 98.18%, in humanities department 83.35% and in business education 90.44%.

The pass rate in 2021 was 97.90%. This time the pass rate has dropped to 89.02%.

On the other hand, 15,216 candidates got GPA-5 which was 9,342 last year.

In Mymensingh, boys are ahead in pass rate while girls are ahead in getting GPA-5.

Among the passed students, the number of boys is 49,577, the pass rate being 89.09%. The number of female students passed is 48,305 so their pass rate is 88.95%.

On the other hand, among those who obtained GPA-5, the number of male students is 6,768 and the number of female students is 8,448.

A total of 1,303 students from four districts participated in the examination. Among these, 64 institutions secured 100% pass while none passed in one institute.

This year's SSC and equivalent exams under eleven boards, including madrasa (Dakhil) and technical education boards, started across the country on September 15.

A total of 2,021,868 students from 29,591 educational institutions took part in the exams at 3,790 centres. Altogether 1,599,711 students participated in the SSC exams under the nine general education boards.

The students can now check their scores at their school premises, on the website of Education Board website, and via text message services.
