The dismissal order of former Brigadier General Abdullahil Amaan Azmi, son of the late Jamaat-e-Islami ameer Ghulam Azam, has been revoked, according to a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Directorate on Friday.
The press release states that the dismissal order was cancelled and pardoned on Tuesday.
Instead, he was retrospectively placed on “premature (compulsory) retirement” effective from June 24, 2009, with all applicable financial and other benefits.
Simultaneously, the dismissal notification issued by the Ministry of Defence on June 23, 2009, was also cancelled.
