18 JCOs awarded honorary lieutenant rank on Independence Day

On the occasion of the Independence Day, Bangladesh Army awarded the honorary lieutenant commissions

A total of 18 Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs) of the Bangladesh Army holding the rank of Master Warrant Officer have been granted honorary commissions as lieutenants on the occasion of Independence and National Day.

“On the occasion of the March 26, the Bangladesh Army proudly awards honorary lieutenant commissions to 18 Master Warrant Officers in recognition of their dedication and service,” said the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a statement.

The officers elevated to the rank of honorary lieutenant are Mohammad Jamal Uddin (Armored), Md Abdul Kaiyum (Artillery), Md Moharram Hossain (Artillery), Md Saiful Islam (Engineers), Mohammad Shafiqul Islam Sikder (Engineers), Md Ismail Hossain (Engineers), Md Shahidul Islam (Engineers), Md Abdul Kader (Signals), Kazi Mokarram Hossain (East Bengal), Md Habibur Rahman (East Bengal), Mohammad Tajul Islam (East Bengal), Mohammad Kibria Kamal (East Bengal), Mohammad Kamruzzaman (East Bengal), Md Khaled Morshed Nirab, Bir, Sheikh Kamal Uddin (ASC), Obaidur Rahman Sheikh (EME), Md Abul Hashem (EME), and Md Abdul Kader (CMP).
