Hijackers have stabbed a policeman in front of Judge Court mosque in Jessore town.
The injured is Md Musa Mia, of Jagannathpur area and a constable of Dhaka Rajarbagh Police Lines.
Jessore Kotwali Sub-Inspector Solaiman Hossain said: “Musa and his wife arrived in Jessore by a train. The hijackers stabbed Musa when the couple reached the area on Wednesday morning.”
“Musa and his wife came under attack by the hijackers when they arrived in Jessore by a train on Wednesday morning.”
He said: “The muggers snatched away Tk8,000, a mobile phone and a necklace from the couple.”
The police official said one Shamim was detained from Jessore 25-seated Hospital where Musa is under treatment.
