A woman was gunned down in Pakistan's Kohat, allegedly by her cousin who objected to her working outside the home.
The killing took place at Ustarzai last Friday but came to notice several days later, reports the Dawn.
Kohat's District Police Officer (DPO) Javed Iqbal said victim Hina Shahnawaz was shot four times allegedly by her cousin Mehboob Alam, who did not approve of her working.
Police said Hina's relatives tried to cover up the incident but a police complaint was lodged after rumours of the murder made rounds on social media.
Hina worked for a non-government organisation in Islamabad and earned Rs80,000 a month, the police officer said.
She used to support her widowed mother and sister-in-law after her father and brother passed away.
The suspected killer is on the run.
