Bangladesh has sought details from India regarding British Bangladesh national Samiun Rahman, who was arrested in Delhi last month.
Bangladesh wrote a letter to National Investigation Agency (NIA) Saimun’s seeking details, reports the Hindu.
On September 17, Samiun was arrested from Vikas Marg in east Delhi for allegedly trying to recruit Rohingya on behalf of the terrorist outfit Al-Qaeda.
Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) and NIA regularly exchange inputs on cases of terrorism as per a memorandum of understanding (MoU).

“The UK High Commission sought consular access to him [Saimun]. India granted consular access and UK officials have visited him,” a UK High Commission official told The Hindu.
Saimun, who worked as a mini-cab controller in Central London, was arrested in Dhaka on September 29, 2014.
He was accused of recruiting young men for international militant organisations Islamic State and Nusra Brigade, better known as the al-Nusra Front.
However, his family had claimed that Saimun was picked up by the police when he visited Sylhet to settle a family dispute.

Later, UK’s human rights advocacy group CAGE campaigned for his release from the Dhaka prison.
He was released from the Dhaka prison in April. However, it is not known how he entered India.
Earlier in a report, the Times of India said during interrogation Saimun revealed that he crossed into to India in July and his task was to raise funds and incite youths to fight for the cause of Rohingya Muslims and facilitate their entry into Myanmar from northeastern states.
