Bangladesh's gymnasts have achieved a series of historic milestones at the 13th Senior and 19th Junior Asian Gymnastics Championships 2026, being held in Jinjiang, China, from June 14 to 21.
The men's competition features 120 gymnasts from 22 Asian countries, including Bangladesh, Japan, China, South Korea, and Qatar, with 67 senior and 53 junior athletes competing across 16 events - eight in the senior division and eight in the junior division.
Bangladesh is represented by a 10-member contingent, comprising five senior and five junior gymnasts.
In the junior division, Uting Wang Marma produced an outstanding performance to qualify for the Vault final, scoring 12.850 points to finish among the top performers in the 53-member field.

Uting will compete in the final on Sunday.
In the senior division, Rajib Chakma delivered a historic performance by scoring 13.366 points to finish ninth among 67 competitors, earning the position of first reserve for the Vault final.
Rajib remains in contention for a place in the final should any qualified gymnast withdraw.
Rajib's achievement is the best-ever performance by a Bangladeshi gymnast in the senior category at the Asian Gymnastics Championships.
He has also secured direct qualification for the upcoming Asian Games in Japan, marking another landmark achievement for Bangladesh gymnastics.
