Xcel Sports Management and Promotions is set for its second international boxing venture outside of Bangladesh, which will take place in Bangkok Thursday at the Spaceplus venue.

The event, titled "Roar of Dragons: Way of the Champions" will showcase the talent of the best Bangladeshi lightweight boxer and the newly minted Asian Boxing Federation Intercontinental super lightweight champion Sura Krishna Chakma, who will contend against Thai boxer Sornram Sopakul in a six-round bout of the lightweight class.

With the boxing tournament ahead, Highland Boxing Promotions will organize a weigh-in session Wednesday.

Sura Krishna will be present there, adding excitement to the prelude of the main event.

Adnan Haroon, chairman of the Bangladesh Boxing Foundation, said: "We are thrilled to announce our second collaboration with this international boxing event. Participating in international tournaments in foreign realms is a great opportunity for Bangladesh to showcase its own talents. We feel proud that we, as an organization, have been able to bring our boxing arena to such a level, proving that we are equally capable of being at the forefront of global sports."

Last year, Bangladeshi boxer Mohammad Alamin took pride in winning the super welterweight division title in the Evolution Fight Series in Thailand.

Sura Krishna was supposed to take part in that tournament but unfortunately, due to dengue fever, he could not make it.

However, overcoming the setbacks, this year Sura Krishna is returning to the ring ending the wait of the audience.

The tournament will be in collaboration with the World Boxing Association Asia and the ABF.

To facilitate Bangladesh's participation, Bkash will partner with Xcel Sports Management and Promotions.
