Bangladesh Professional Boxing Society Thursday announced the names of four pro boxers who will take part in different international bouts in Australia and Vietnam within the next one month.
Joynul Islam is scheduled to face Italian pro boxer Mirko Pizzi in the WBC Welterweight Asia Australia Championship in Sydney on June 30.
Mohon Ali will fight against Pom Thanatu of Australia in the WBC Featherweight Asia Australia Championship in Melbourne on July 7.
Abdul Mottalib and Hasan Sikder will lock horns with Van Hai of Vietnam and Mark Yap of Philippines in challenge bout in Vietnam on July 15.
The names were announced during a press conference at the Bangladesh Olympic Association auditorium which was presided by BPBS founder and chairman Md Asaduzzaman.
Asaduzzaman said they are proud to present their top boxers from domestic competitions who he expects will dedicate themselves to representing Bangladesh at the world stage.
He added, “The boxers will not only showcase their talent but also exhibit the growing spread of professional boxing of Bangladesh by participating at international events.”
