5th South Asian Basketball Championship: Bangladesh finish runners-up

Bangladesh finished runners-up in the 5th South Asian Basketball Championship after losing to favourite India by 142-71 points in the last match of the tournament in Maldives on Tuesday. Both Bangladesh and India earlier won all their previous three matches in the tournament before facing each other for the championship battle. Bangladesh defeated host Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka convincingly to finish as the second best team in the tournament.
