Bangladesh made a winning start in the 5th South Asian Basketball Championship as they defeated Nepal by 76-66 points in their opening match in Maldives on Friday.
Mithun Kumar Biswas was adjudged player of the match. Bangladesh basketball team earlier left Dhaka for Maldives on Wednesday.
Meanwhile in the day’s other match, India beat host Maldives by 84-42 points.
