Seven matches took place as the Bangabandhu Inter-School Basketball Tournament 2020, powered by Duronto Bicycle and organized by Bangladesh Basketball Federation, got underway Friday at Dhanmondi Basketball Gymnasium in Dhaka.
Quantum Cosmo School got things rolling with 29-19 win over Green Herald School while Muslim Academy defeated Ispahani Public School 40-14 in the second game.
Saint Phillips School then edged Maple Leaf School 31-29 in the third game before Baliapukur School thrashed Mastermind School 29-8 in the fourth match.
St Nicholas School thumped Jorpukuria Madhyamik Biddalay 34-17 in the fifth match before Sir John Wilson School got the better of Dhanmondi Tutorial 17-10 in the sixth and penultimate game.

In the seventh and final game of the day, St Gregory High School overpowered Sunnydale School 44-19.
The Group A champion will take on the Group D winner in the first semi-final Saturday at 3pm at the same venue while the Group B and C champions will do battle in the second semi.
The final will be held on the same day at 5pm where Bangladesh Olympic Association secretary general Syed Shahed Reza will be present as the chief guest.
