The Bangladesh Olympic Association had asked the respective federations to begin the training camp Monday ahead of the 13th South Asian Games, scheduled to be held from December 1-10 in Kathmandu and Pokhara of Nepal.
The upcoming SA Games will feature a total of 27 disciplines out of which Bangladesh will participate in 25, except triathlon and the newly-added paragliding event.
“We had sent letters to respective federations to start the training camp Monday. Not all federations begin their camp at the venues we allotted them to as many of them started the preparation at their regular venues,” said member secretary of BOA’s training committee, AK Sarkar, to Dhaka Tribune.
Sarkar also said they have asked the federations to submit their full list of athletes to the BOA by Monday after which they would get a clearer picture of actual conditions of training camps and its participants.
