Malaysia’s Tek Jhi Su and Vietnam’s Thui Lin Enguen clinched the Yonex-Sunrise Bangladesh International Challenge in the men’s and women’s singles respectively at Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Indoor Stadium in Dhaka Saturday.
Tek defeated Vietnam’s Chao Chuyong Fam 21-17, 21-17 in the men’s singles final while Thui beat Indonesia’s Putri Kusuma Wardani 21-18, 21-19 in the women’s singles final.
In the men’s doubles final, Indonesia’s Leo Rolly Karnando and Daniel Marthin beat Thailand’s Supak Jomkoh and Wachirait Suthan 21-16, 21-11. In the women’s doubles final, Malaysia’s Bibian Hu and Yap Cheng Owen defeated India’s Aparna Balan and Sruti Kepi 21-14, 21-13.
In the mixed doubles final, Indonesia’s Leo and Indah Chaya beat Malaysia’s Hu Pang Ron and Chiah Ye Si 21-16, 21-15. The tournament was organised by Badminton World Federation, Badminton Asia and Bangladesh Badminton Federation.
