Presidents of 42 sports associations, federations removed

Presidents of a total 42 sports bodies including federations, associations and a confederation have been removed for the post, according to a circular by Ministry of Youth and Sports Tuesday.

The sports federations are athletics, badminton, shooting, handball, judo, karate, taekwondo, table tennis, gymnastics, basketball, archery, amateur boxing, basap, rugby, fencing, weightlifting, wushu, carom, cycling, tennis, amateur wrestling, roller skating, volleyball, squash racket, rowing and kho kho.

The sports associations are baseball-softball, surfing, mountaineering, chukball, sepat takrow, jujutsu, para archery, country games, throw ball, international taekwondo, kite, khiukushin karate and only confederation is Bangladesh Martial Art Confederation.

The president of Bangladesh Women’s Sports Association has also been removed.

Bangladesh Bodhir Krira Federation and National Para Olympic Committee of Bangladesh also saw their president removed.
