Bangladesh senior badminton team concluded their Yonex Sunrise Nepal International Series 2018 campaign without winning any medal for the first time in recent years, while only the junior players brought some glory with a bronze in the team event.
The tournament began Tuesday in Nepal and will conclude Saturday.
Shapla Aktar and Alina Sultana were the last Bangladesh participants to see the exit door in the women’s singles and doubles event Thursday.
Bangladesh couldn’t topple the first round hurdle from the men’s singles section where Mohammad Salman Khan tried his luck.
Gourab Singha and Mangal Singha exited from the pre-quarterfinals the previous day.
Bangladesh earlier won three bronzes in 2016 and a couple of bronzes last year, including in the mixed doubles and women’s doubles events.
