Hafizur, Afsana seal Independence Day Carrom titles

Khulna's Mohammad Hafizur Rahman clinched the Independence Day Carrom Tournament men's singles title. Organised by Bangladesh Carrom Federation, the four-day long tournament concluded in Dhaka's Maulana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium. Hafizur beat Mohammad Hemayet Mollah of Chittagong Zila Krira Sangstha by 2-0 sets. Dhaka's Mohammad Ali finished third. Eden College's Afsana Nasrin emerged as the champion in the women's singles after beating Sabina Akter. Ainun Nishat finished third.
