Bangladesh U-16 basketball team accorded reception

Bangladesh basketball side, who finished runners-up in the five-team south Asian Basketball Association U-16 Championship last September in Nepal, were accorded a reception at a resort in Dhaka Sunday. Bangladesh, who were sponsored by Walton Group in the tournament, played four matches, winning thrice to finish runners-up behind unbeaten champion India.

In their first game, Bangladesh beat Bhutan 117-43 before losing their second match against India 64-83. Bangladesh beat host Nepal 68-56 in their third game before concluding their campaign with a 107-52 win over Maldives. In the reception, the Bangladesh players received monetary rewards from Walton Group.
