A seven-day long badminton tournament titled "Click Racket Wreckage" will kick off at Banani field in Dhaka on Saturday.
The organizers briefed the media about the tournament at a press conference held at Bangladesh Olympic Association auditorium today.
State minister for Youth and Sports Biren Shikder will inaugurate the week long tournament in which more than 40 universities and corporate organizations will participate.
Addressing the press conference, Salauddin Al Hossain, Brand Manager of Click said, “Usually badminton tournaments are arranged with the professional players. But it is rare to hold any tournament for amateurs. We have organized various other programs beside the tournament to make it a festival.”
XPEDEV, an event management organization, has been arranging the program while the popular electronics brand Click is the title sponsor. Bangladesh Badminton Federation will co-operate the event which will also be powered and co-sponsored by PRAN UHT Milk and Duranta Bicycle, respectively.
Rajib Ibn Islam, General Manager (Operation) of PRAN Dairy, Raquibul Hasan, Brand Manager of Duranta Bicycle, Mohammad Yousuf, Deputy General Manager of XPEDEV, Tareq Mahmud, member of Bangladesh Badminton Federation, among others were also present at the program.
