The Election Commission, as well as the National Sports Council on Sunday announced the schedule of the much-awaited election of the Bangladesh Hockey Federation, scheduled to be held on August 27.
A total of 86 councillors will cast their votes to elect an executive committee of 28 members, out of 31, which includes one general secretary, five vice presidents, two joint secretaries, one treasurer and 19 members, informed NSC director and Election Commissioner Narayan Chandra Debnath.
The remaining three posts, including one president and two members will be selected by the NSC.
The draft voters’ list is scheduled to be revealed on Monday while the final list will be published on August 9.
The candidates have to collect the nomination forms from August 10 to 13 before submitting the papers on August 17.
The final candidate list will be announced on August 23.
