Bangladesh concluded their group campaign in their debut participation of the Indoor Asia Cup 2019 losing to host Thailand 3-1 in Chon Buri, Thailand Thursday.
Thailand led the opening half 2-0 after a goal each from Boonpea Warun and Kampanthong Thanop before Thanop added another in the second half.
Mainul Islam Kaushik scored the consolation for the visitor in the 36th minute.
Bangladesh will now compete in the seventh-place deciding match and will get to know their opponent after the end of the group fixtures Friday.
They finished the Pool A campaign at fourth out of five teams with three points.
