Dhaka United thumped Shantinagar Sporting Club 8-1 while Bachelor’s SC beat Mukta Bihanga Tarun Sangha 4-2 in the Green Delta Insurance First Division Hockey League at Maulana Bhasani National Stadium in Dhaka Saturday.
Imran Ahmed Sohel was the star for Dhaka United with four field goals while Arafat Hossain Piyal and Raju Ahmed Tapu bagged two field goals apiece.
Shahed Hasan scored the consolation for Shantinagar.

Meanwhile in the other game, Rashedul Islam (penalty corner), Kayes Ahmed Apon (field goal), Meheruzzaman (field goal) and Mohammad Rabbi (PC) all netted once for Bachelor’s.
Al Islam Rubel and Mohammad Tuhin Hossain bagged one field goal apiece for Mukta Bihanga.
In Sunday's matches at the same venue, Dhaka Railway will take on Barnak Samaj at 1:30pm while Farashganj SC will lock horns with Shantinagar at 3:30pm.
