Abahani hand Bangladesh SC 10-0 thrashing

Powerhouse Abahani Limited handed Bangladesh Sporting Club a 10-0 thrashing in the Green Delta Insurance Premier Division Hockey League at Maulana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium in Dhaka Saturday. Arshad Hossain inspired the rout with a treble, scoring field goals in the 24th, 37th and 60th minute. Krishna Kumar bagged a brace, netting a field goal in the 16th minute before scoring from a penalty corner in the 53rd minute. Ashraful Islam scored from a PC in the 19th minute while Roman Sarkar, Afsar Uddin, Sohanur Rahman Sabuj and Shahidullah Khokon all netted field goals in the 26th, 34th, 50th and 63rd minute respectively.

Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited meanwhile, sealed a 3-1 victory over Victoria Sporting Club, Arbindar Singh, Kamruzzaman Rana and Shamsher Singh netting for the Black and Whites in the 28th (field goal), 42nd (PC) and 56th minute (field goal). Shahibaz Sheikh scored the consolation field goal for Victoria in the 51st minute. In the last game of the day at the same venue, Ajax Sporting Club beat Wanderers 2-0, Shihab Hossain and Rahat Sarwar both scoring field goals in the sixth and 67th minute respectively.
