Bangladesh Navy clinched the Victory Day Hockey Tournament after coming from behind to beat Bangladesh Army 3-2 in the penalty shoot-out in the final at Maulana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium on Monday.
It was an evenly contested affair in stipulated time before the tie rolled into the tie-breaker. Following a goalless opening half, defender Khorshedur Rahman put Bangladesh Army ahead in the 57th minute from a penalty corner.
Russel Mahmud Jimmy rescued Bangladesh Navy scoring in the 65th minute from another penalty corner.
