Arambagh Krira Sangha continued their fine run in the Bangladesh Premier League, despite being held to a 1-1 draw by Uttar Baridhara Club at Rafiquddin Bhuiyan Stadium in Mymensingh on Monday.
Arambagh have put together a consistent streak since the latter half of the first phase. And in their last six matches, they registered their biggest win (5-1) against Feni Soccer Club and defeated teams like Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club and Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra.
Saiful Bari Titu would have been happier if his side had earned him three points against the bottom-placed side but Monday's point helped them climb one place up to fifth position with 20 points. Uttar Baridhara remained at the bottom with 10 points, along with Soccer Club.
Sajid put Arambagh ahead with only four minutes into the clock, slotting past the Uttar Baridhara goalkeeper and into the far post after receiving the ball from full-back Mansur Amin.
Camara Sarba scored a spectacular equaliser eight minutes into the second half to stun Titu's charges.
The final match of the Mymensingh leg between Brothers Union and Muktijoddha Sangsad will be held on Tuesday at 3pm.RESULTArambagh 1 (Sajid 4) 1 Baridhara (Sarba 53)
