Bangladesh’s U-20 women’s national team will launch their AFC U-20 Women’s Asian Cup campaign Wednesday, facing hosts Thailand in their opening Group A fixture at Thammasat Stadium in Bangkok. The match is set to kick off at 7 pm BST.
Ahead of the clash, the team successfully wrapped up their third and final official training session at Alpine Training Camp (Pitch 2) on Tuesday, according to a message from the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF).
The session featured warm-ups, technical drills, possession exercises, and set-piece routines, with head coach Peter Butler and his coaching staff working closely with the players to simulate game situations. Emphasis was placed on tactical awareness, decision-making, and effective coordination both in attack and defence.
Bangladesh, drawn in Group A alongside Thailand, China, and Vietnam, will play their remaining group matches against China on April 4 and Vietnam on April 7. The team will be looking to build on tomorrow’s opener as they aim to make an impact in the continental tournament.
