Bangladesh champions Bashundhara Kings announced the name of 58-year old Romanian tactician Valeriu Tita as the new head coach, replacing Oscar Bruzon who served the post for last six years.
Tita is expected to ink an initial one-year deal after arriving in Dhaka at the end of this month, informed the club’s president Imrul Hasan, who is also vice-president of Bangladesh Football Federation.
The Romanian coach has vast experience coaching clubs of West Asian countries like Syria, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq.
He also coached Syria national team for three terms.
Tita’s biggest achievement was guiding Al-Ittihad Ahli of Aleppo Sports Club to the 2010 AFC Cup title, which apparently brought him into contention for the top job at Kings who secured domestic treble last season.
The five-time Premier League champions have also appointed former Romanian footballer Dorel Stoica as set piece coach and Khalil Chakroun as fitness coach.
