DT discusses Liverpool triumph with celebrity supporters

Liverpool Football Club broke its 30-year duck by winning the English Premier League title last week and Dhaka Tribune celebrated the special achievement thorough a live video discussion where some prominent Liverpool fans of the country were present.

Liverpool won their previous top flight English league back in 1990 and one of the most successful English clubs failed to win a single EPL title since the tournament took its new name back in 1992.  

Dhaka Tribune Locker Room, a weekly show of the DT, arranged the show on Sunday night at 9pm Bangladesh time when Zafar Sobhan, the editor of the newspaper, hosted some of the big names.

Kanbar Hossein Bor , former UK Deputy High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Naser Ezaz Bijoy ,CEO, Standard Chartered Bank Bangladesh, Zara Jabeen Mahbub, Country Director, Kazi IT, Iresh Zaker, actor, Managing Director, Asiatic 360, Syed Faiz Ahmed, sports writer, sub-editor of Dhaka Tribune were present among the guests.

They made a lively discussion for an hour, when they recalled the plight of not winning the coveted trophy for such a long time and also at the same time expressed their proud of being a member of such a passionate fan base.

They shared their personal memories regarding the club and also analyzed facts that resurrected the glory for all reds. The guests of the show also answered questions that were posed by the virtual audience during the show.
