Sabina Khatun, the national women’s team captain, urged to protect mental and physical health during the quarantined days while campaigning at Asian Football Confederation for Break the Chain against Covid-19.
“It is important to maintain personal hygiene, but it is equally crucial to ensure that you protect your mental and physical health. I hope that together, we can break the chain and contain the spread of the virus,” said the 26-year old striker.
In the statement provided in the media release of Bangladesh Football Federation, the all-time leading scorer of the country also talked about improving fitness through the internet.
“It is difficult to keep yourself occupied at home, especially for the younger people, but with technology there are many good materials online to find for a new hobby or to improve on your fitness,” said Sabina.
“If you are staying alone, make it a point to call your family and friends regularly,” said the Bashundhara Kings captain, who scored highest 15 goals in only five matches before Covid-19 pandemic suspended the Women’s Football League indefinitely.
