Jamal, Rana join ‘Break The Chain’ campaign

The AFC, Asian football governing body, launched the public awareness campaign on March 31 to combat Covid-19 pandemic following the guideline by the World Health Organization

Jamal Bhuiyan and Ashraful Islam Rana, the captain and goalkeeper of Bangladesh football team, urged the fans to stay home as they joined the AFC’s ‘Break The Chain’ campaign to curb the spread of coronavirus.

The AFC, Asian football governing body, launched the public awareness campaign on March 31 to combat Covid-19 pandemic following the guideline by the World Health Organization.

“The COVID-19 is spreading all around the world. We must stop this together. The steps are very simple, wash your hands, maintain social distance and, if necessary, stay at home. Let’s do this together,” Jamal, 29, urged a through a video message from Denmark.

Rana, 31, said in his message from his home in Manikganj, “Let's work together to stop the spread of COVID-19. We must unite and listen to the advice of the WHO and our government. Remember to wash your hand regularly and stay at home. Let's do our part to break the chain.”

National team manager Satyajit Das Rupu also joined the campaign with similar message to spread awareness against the coronavirus.
