Less than two months since the club premises of Arambagh KS and Bangladesh Muktijoddha SKC along with Mohammedan SCL were raided by the law enforcement agencies during the casino crackdown in Dhaka, the two clubs managed to overcome different ways to complete their transfer formalities.
Muktijoddha formed comparatively better team than Arambagh, whose squad looked one of the weakest among the 13 clubs.
Muktijoddha kept 12 players from last season while bringing in BPL’s proven forwards, Arambagh’s Nigerian Paul Emile and Guinean Ismail Bangoura.
Japanese midfielder Norito Hashiguchi in Asian quota and Brazilian defender Albert Frank are among their five foreign signings.

Their coach Abdul Kaiyum Sentu said, “This team are like last season but we have to work harder than before because other teams like Rahmatganj and Police formed strong teams.”
Arambagh lost almost all of their key players to other teams as president AKM Mominul Haque Sayeed has not returned to the country since the casino scam.
Club’s general secretary Yakub Ali informed that they kept only seven players from last season and completed the signing of four foreigners.
He said, “We formed the squad at the last moment. Our only target is to survive in the league.”
