Jamal Bhuiyan has not had a rest since the national training camp began before the World Cup and Asian Cup qualifiers against Qatar and India at the end of last month.
And this is likely to continue until the first half of December owing to the next joint qualifier away at Oman, followed by the Bangabandhu Gold Cup next month and the South Asian Games in December.
The Bangladesh captain though is happy with the busy fixtures.
“We have Oman game next month, then two-three days break before the camp begins again. I don’t know if I will play with the U-23 team in the SA Games. It’s up to the coach to decide. Besides, there is Bangabandhu Gold Cup and it’s good that people will be more excited and more into football. It’s a great thing for Bangladesh,” said the Saif Sporting Club midfielder.

“Last year, we had five-month gap, there was no tournament, no competition and people were complaining and now, I think, people can’t complain about not playing regularly. For me, I’m very happy,” he added.
Jamal was a bit tired Wednesday as this was his second match for Chittagong Abahani Limited as a loanee with only a day’s gap in between.
“I’m tired. I was also bit tired in the last match because it was a tough game against Young Elephants. This month is getting very long as I played many matches and trained continuously,” said the 29-year old.
“Of course, there is risk of injury, that is why Maruful [Haque] sir is also saying I have to recover well, eat good food, do ice bath and stretching and need sleep most,” he added.
