Bashundhara Kings and Arambagh Krira Sangha swept into the quarterfinals of the Walton U-18 Football Tournament 2018-19 after winning their respective group matches at the Bangabandhu National Stadium Monday .
Arambagh sent Rahmatganj MFS out of the competition after beating the Old Dhaka outfits 3-0 in the day’s first match.
The result also confirmed the last-eight spot for Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club who earlier thrashed Rahmatganj 5-0 in the first match of Group B Saturday.
New BPL champions Bashundhara, who drew with Abahani Limited in the first match, also moved to the knockout phase after beating Mohammedan Sporting Club 3-0 in the day’s second match.
Abahani and Mohammedan will face each other in the last match of group (C) of death Wednesday to decide who will move through to the knockout stage.
