Police Football Club got promoted to the Bangladesh Premier League from the Bangladesh Championship League with three games still remaining to the end of the season.
Police earned their first ever BPL berth following their 1-0 victory against Wari in the 17th round of matches Sunday in Dhaka.
Police are top of the points table with 32 points, including nine wins, five draws and three losses.
Uttar Baridhara and Victory Sporting are second and third with 26 and 25 points respectively.
An elated Mokhlesur Rahman, manager of Police, said, “We are really toiling hard on the field. We have been promoted with three games still to be played. Now we only want to fight for the title.”
