Bangladesh U-23 to play friendly against Al-Shahania SC

Ahead of the friendly, the squad continued their regular training regime for the 10-day intensive camp

Bangladesh U-23 national team, currently in Qatar for a training camp, is set to play a friendly match against Al-Shahania SC on Friday.

The match against Al-Shahania SC will kick-off at the Alsayliyah club ground Stadium, Doha.

Ahead of the friendly, the squad continued their regular training regime for the 10-day intensive camp.

The players had a two-hour long training session, which went on till noon at the training ground.

The U-23 players returned to their hotel for lunch and a few hours of rest before undergoing a gym and pool session from in the evening.

Head coach Jamie Day has been seen working with his staff to get his boys ready for the upcoming AFC qualifiers.

On the other hand, physiotherapist Simon Maltby has been working with individual players and taking extra care to improve their fitness levels and get them match-fit.

Meanwhile goalkeeping coach Dean May, currently on a four-week contract with the BFF, has been also working separately to get the shot-stoppers ready with intense training. 

He has been working in collaboration with Briton Jamie to develop the goalkeepers in accordance to the head coach's philosophy.
