Powerhouse Abahani Limited advanced to the semi-final of the Walton U-18 Football Tournament, powered by Premier Bank, after defeating Lt. Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited 5-4 in the tie-breaker at Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka Tuesday.
The score was locked at 2-2 in the fourth quarter-final following the end of normal time.
Apon Chandra Roy gave the Sky Blues the lead 10 minutes into the game but Manual Saran equalised in the 37th minute.Saran made it 2-1 moments before the first-half whistle and Abahani had to wait until the dying stages of the match to bring parity as Dipak Roy scored in the 87th minute.
