Sabina nets again as Sethu win 2-0

Prolific Bangladesh striker Sabina Khatun continued her fine form in the final round of the Indian Women's League as she scored the opening goal in Kerala outfit Sethu Football Club's 2-0 win over Rising Student Club of Odisha in Shillong, India Monday. It was Sethu's second consecutive win and the second game in a row that the Bangladesh striker found the back of the net on her IWL debut season. The domestic league's leading scorer, Sabina featured for the full 90 minutes. Bangladesh youngster Srimoti Krishna Rani Sarkar was also included in Sethu’s squad but got fewer playing minutes compared to her compatriot.

Apart from Sabina and Krishna, Sethu’s squad largely comprises members from the Tamil Nadu women’s team who won their maiden senior national title recently. This is the second edition of the IWL, which is taking place with the participation of seven teams. Rising SC were the runners-up in the last edition. Sabina and Krishna's side will play their fourth game against India Rush Soccer Club Wednesday before taking on Eastern Sporting Union Sunday.
